Gourdon, a village in the Alpes Maritimes also called “Eagle’s Nest” because it is a village perched on a breathtakingly high peak of 760 meters overlooking the Loup Valley.

It is also, same as Grace, a very flowery village as it has two flowers in the competition of cities and villages in bloom. It has also been, for centuries, a place of exceptional defense because of its strategic position. In addition, this place referred as model to a number of artists who are responsible for taking over the gallery and sketches with the view of Gourdon, for example such as churches and monuments. Finally, annual events are held in memory of the origins of the village, for which the inhabitants dress, the traditional way, in medieval outfits.
